Following her time in high school, she enrolled at an undergraduate program at the University of Arizona and was named a three-time All American pitcher, as and a first-baseman. When she was in 2001, her Wildcats team won the National Championship title as well as in 2002, she was awarded with the Honda Award for the best softballer of the nation.
